Gildenburg Water (aka "Gildy") is a flooded brick works quarry that ceased operation in 1945. The water has risen to make the maximum depth 22 metres. Visibility at Gildenburg is around 1 to 5 metres. There are various wrecks and fish life scattered through out the lake.
The dive site is closed on Mondays.
